Andalusia among the most popular regions in Spain

Andalusia is one of the most popular tourist regions in Spain. In 2022, Andalusia recorded an increase of 130.4% in the number of tourists, compared to the previous year. Projections indicate that 2023 will also be a record year.

In a nutshell, the Costa del Sol is prestige, an excellent climate, great cuisine and many other factors that make it one of the most attractive places to live and invest in the world.

 

Tourism – statistical data

Spain is one of the most popular tourist countries in the world, famous for its beautiful beaches, sunshine, delicious cuisine and rich culture. The country attracted more than 83.7 million tourists in 2019, a record high. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, in July 2022 the number of foreign tourists surpassed the record level of four years ago.

According to data released by Spain’s INE Statistics Office, Andalusia received 6.4 million tourists in 2022, including 4.4 million foreign tourists and 2 million domestic tourists. That’s a 130.4% increase compared to 2021.

The region is particularly popular with tourists from Europe, who come here mainly to relax on the beach. Andalusia has more than 800 kilometers of coastline, the most popular of which are the Costa del Sol, Costa de la Luz and Costa de Almería.

 

Tourist attractions

Andalusia offers tourists many attractions, both historical and cultural. Among the most popular are:

Seville, the capital of Andalusia, known for its rich history and culture. The city is home to numerous monuments, including the cathedral, Alcazar and Archivo General de Indias.

Granada – the city where the Alhambra, one of the most famous monuments of Muslim Spain, is located.

Cordoba – the city where the Mezquita, one of the largest cathedrals in the world, is located.

Málaga – a city located on the Costa del Sol, known for its beautiful beaches and nightlife.

Andalusia is a region rich in history, culture and beautiful landscapes. It is an ideal place to relax, explore and learn about Spanish culture.

 

Poles have fallen in love with Spain
